Potem Falls runs into the Pit River which flows into Shasta Lake and is accessible by trail. This waterfall lies in a deep canyon and reaches 45 feet from its base. Enjoy swimming in the pool at the base during the summer months, and don't forget to check out the rope swing!
Directions: Take 299 E. Turn a left on Fenders Ferry Rd. (Look for the copper horse sculpture.) The paved road turns to a dirt road here. At the fork in the road stay left. Cross over the Pit River on Fenders Ferry bridge. (You’ll see the PG&E dam on the right.) The trail to the falls is ahead to your left - you'll see a wide place on a curve. Once you park, turn around and you’ll see a rock that says 'falls' marking the start of the trail. Total distance from 299 E to the falls is 9 miles.
