It’s October in Redding, California! We're out picking pumpkins, exploring corn mazes, and getting our prost on for Oktoberfest! Whether you're a fan of pumpkin spice or searching for some spooky and haunted happening's, we’ve got some amazing group events that’ll be sure to be all treats and no tricks!
Head over to Hawes Farms for the 20th Anniversary of their Fall Festival! This is a beloved annual event that celebrates the joys of autumn with a wide array of activities for the whole family. General admission includes entrance to the farm pumpkin patch, a daytime corn maze, zip lines, barnyard animal petting zoo, bouncing pillow, playground and slides (for kids 7 and under), and a cow and grain train. Whatever you’re looking for in your October pumpkin hunts, Hawes Farms has it.
Hawes Haunts: Forget the usual haunted house and experience the thrill of a Haunted Corn Maze, unleash your inner Zombie Slayer with paintball, and explore the eerie Sinister Workshop. It’s the perfect blend of adrenaline and chills, ensuring a night filled with unforgettable memories. Starting October 11th, 2024.

Redding Rancheria Stillwater Pow Wow in Redding, CA
Big Bike Weekend an AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) event is back once again on October 11th - 13th meeting at the Red Lion Hotel parking lot. The mission of Big Bike Weekend is to provide a fun, safe, and entertaining motorcycle event for riders of all types of motorcycles and to educate people on motorcycle safety. Friday kicks off with a Remembrance Ride, then Saturday there will be a Police Invitational Motor Competition, Fundamentals of Motor Suspension, Stop the Bleed, a Riding Skill Test as well as motorcycle instructors, vendors, exhibits, a bike show, and a Poker Chip Run on Sunday.

Join us at the Coleman National Fish Hatchery for a fun filled and educational day where you can watch the spawning of the eggs out of the female Chinook salmon. This is a family friendly event as well as educational as you'll learn firsthand about this important part of the Chinook salmon's life cycle. Join us for the 30th annual Return of the Salmon Festival. This event highlight's the importance of the salmon spawning process and will also feature exhibitors from across the north state.

Get your prost on! Celebrate beer and all things German culture at Turtle Bay's Oktoberfest. Held inside the Paul Bunyan Adventure Camp, you’ll be surrounded by good brews, festive patrons, and live music. Wear your favorite lederhosen as costumes are highly encouraged. Beer will be on tap from many local breweries and food vendors will be on site. Come roll out the barrel with the group this October at Turtle Bay’s Oktoberfest.

Harvesting pumpkins for over thirty-four years, Nash Ranch is a local favorite and has all the pumpkins you’re looking for. Come explore the twenty acres of plump pumpkins, winter squash, and festive gourds. They also feature many other attractions such as a corn maze, obstacle course, kids’ playground, food and vendor booths, farm animal petting zoo, and pillow bounce.

Nash Ranch Pumpkin Patch
Redding Rotary is once again holding their haunted house at the historic Monolith in Turtle Bay Exploration Park. Navigate your way through this stone labyrinth as you encounter scary clowns, wicked creatures, and menacing madmen all with one mission; to make you scream! There will also be a beer garden and food trucks on site. Bring the gang and test your nerves together!
This event features fright actors but no blood and gore. Attractions will have flashing lights.
