Rumor has it "LuLu" came from a very questionable past in San Francisco's Barbary Coast. Wanting to shun the bright lights and bawdy atmosphere of the "Coast" she traveled north up the Sacramento River and came upon a town called Redding. Sensing the need for a place to "Relax" and enjoy good food and drinks, she opened a small roadhouse where LuLu's currently stands.
Although LuLu herself cannot be with us....She asked that the establishment be dedicated to the "Merry Folks" of today who will again make eating and drinking a pleasure....who achieve content long before capacity and whatever they may drink, prove able to carry it...enjoy it...and remain always ladies and gentlemen.
