This April, mountain bikers from all over the West Coast will be descending on our town to see who is the fastest, downhill racer at the Lemurian Classic. New this year to the event is the cross-country course, which features 30 miles of pure ecstasy as well as extreme agony. You’re going to sweat, your legs will burn, and you’ll be smiling the whole time on this beast of an endurance course. Founded in 1987, the Lemurian Classic is a true Redding original. Taking place in the Swasey Recreation area, this race is filled with grueling elevation climbs, rugged downhill dives, and tons of natural obstacles. This is an excellent opportunity to test your limits against your fellow athletes and see if you have what it takes to rule the mountain. The Lemurian classic is also one of the largest fundraising events for Redding mountain bikers and all of the proceeds go to Redding Trail Alliance to help further their mission to keep adding miles and miles of riding trails to the city of Redding.
Choose Redding is proud to be a main sponsor of the Lemurian Classic.
